Metropolitan, which will introduce 2 buses and 65 disabled vehicles working with clean energy on August 2, on Wednesday, August 4; 30 earthmoving trucks, 3 trucks and 1 flatbed semi-trailer will be put into service.
Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality continues to serve the city from four branches. Continuing its work in many areas from health to environment, from transportation to infrastructure, the Metropolitan Municipality has strengthened the power of its vehicle fleet.
CLEAN ENERGY IN PUBLIC TRANSPORT
65 buses, powered by clean energy (CNG) compressed natural gas, which will serve under the Department of Transportation Planning and Rail Systems, will be put into service with the launch to be held at the Metropolitan Municipality Bus Garage located behind the Tax Office on Monday, August 2, at 11.00:XNUMX. The Metropolitan Municipality, which is environmentally friendly, respectful to nature and people and turning to renewable energy sources, will provide energy efficiency and emission reduction in public transportation. The buses will also have ramps for the disabled so that disabled people can easily reach them.
THE AMOUNT OF CARBON MONOXIDE EMISSED TO THE NATURE WILL REDUCE
In order to implement the sustainable cities concept in Balıkesir, the Metropolitan Municipality, which implemented the transition to green economy in urban transportation, also established a filling station for CNG fueled vehicles. With clean energy buses that will start serving in the streets of Balıkesir as of August 2; 2.660.688,00 grams less carbon monoxide will be emitted annually. Thanks to the new buses that prioritize environmental health, air pollution will be prevented. In addition, there are disabled ramps in the buses in order to provide easy transportation for disabled people.
DISABLED VEHICLES WILL BE AVAILABLE TO CITIZENS
In addition, on the same day, 2 new disabled vehicles that will serve under the Department of Health and Social Affairs will be introduced. Disabled vehicles; It will be put into service of the citizens in line with the requests received by the Balıkesir Governorship Open Door Unit and the Metropolitan Municipality Call Center.
CITY TOUR WILL BE HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF PRESIDENT YILMAZ
Immediately after the launch, a city tour will be made on the routes determined, with the participation of Metropolitan Mayor Yücel Yılmaz, and the citizens will be introduced to the city.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION WORKS WILL GAIN SPEED WITH NEW VEHICLES
The Metropolitan Municipality, which carries out road construction works all over the city, is needed in order to ensure that the works can be carried out in a faster and healthier way in the Department of Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair; It also includes 30 earthmoving trucks, 3 trucks and 1 flatbed semi-trailer. On Wednesday, August 4, at 11.00:XNUMX, road construction works will accelerate with the vehicles that will be introduced at the Metropolitan Municipality Bus Garage located behind the Tax Office.
