Children and young people from 39 districts of Istanbul will come together at the IMM Nature Camp. Participants of the camp, which will be held between 28 June and 30 August, will spend an unforgettable summer holiday with enjoyable activities. Children between the ages of 9-15 can attend the camp, and families will be able to enroll their disabled children between the ages of 5-17. The IMM Nature Camp, where registration has started, will be held in Çekmeköy Nişantepe Forest Park.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will organize a Nature Camp in 39 districts of Istanbul in order for children and youth to socialize with each other, to gain a sense of responsibility, team spirit and sportive awareness at an early age. The training and activities to be held throughout the camp will contribute to the sports and technical development of children and youth. They will be provided with a colorful summer holiday with fun and educational free time activities.
RECORDS STARTED
Registration for the camp, which will be held in Çekmeköy Nişantepe Orman Park in cooperation with IMM Youth and Sports Directorate and SPORT ISTANBUL, has started at event.spor.istanbul. Children between the ages of 9 and 15 can enroll in the camp, and individuals with disabilities can also attend. Families will be able to register their disabled children between the ages of 5 and 17 at the camp.
The camp, which has a daily quota of 12 people, 100 of whom are disabled, is registered on a weekly basis. When the quota of the desired semester is full, children are directed to the next semester for registration.
A SUMMER HOLIDAY FULL OF ACTIVITIES
IMM Nature Camp will start on 28 June and will continue until 30 August. Fun activities and trainings will be organized for children at the camp. Rock climbing, cycling, orienteering, archery, athletics, living techniques in nature, ecological and art workshops, first aid and disaster awareness workshops, survivor playgrounds, rope adventure park activities, healthy eating activities and trainings will be held at the camp, which will continue every day during the week. . Children will be able to participate in the camp, which will be held for one day without accommodation, for 1 day or for 5 days if they wish.
TRANSPORTATION AND THREE MEALS FROM IMM
IMM will also support children to reach the camp with transfer vehicles. Every day at 08:00 from IMM Sefaköy Swimming Pool and Fatih Sports Complex on the European Side; Vehicles will be set up at the campsite at 08:30 every day from Ümraniye Haldun Alagaş Sports Facility and Kartal Hasan Doğan Sports Complex on the Anatolian Side. T-shirts, flasks, hats and bags of the children who will participate in the camp will be given away by IMM. Children will also be asked to bring spare sweatpants, hand towels, underwear and socks. During their participation, children's meals will also be served at the camp. Since the participants will be under the age of 18, families will sign the consent letter at the registration address and hand it over to the camp officials.
MEASURES TO BE TAKEN AGAINST PESTS AND PANDEMIC
IMM takes various measures against pandemics and pests in the camp area. Training areas and activity tracks are regularly disinfected with ULV devices and disinfection pumps in the camp area, where spraying activities against all kinds of pests have already started.
