IMM starts to support dairy feed to producers from Istanbul engaged in cattle breeding. With the support, the cost of feed, which is the biggest expense item of the producer, will be reduced and the milk produced will be distributed to the children of Istanbul.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has started support for cattle breeders with increased production costs, especially feed prices. IMM Headquarters and Food Department will provide dairy feed support to producers engaged in cattle breeding throughout Istanbul. Milk feed, whose price has increased by more than 65 percent in the last year, will be provided by IMM for at least 1 and maximum 5 cattle. Applications for support will be accepted until June 18, 2021. IMM, which reduces the cost of the breeder, will distribute the produced milk to the children of Istanbul as Halk Sut.
SUPPORT WILL BE GIVEN TO ALL MANUFACTURERS
Head of Muhtars and Food Department Ahmet Atalık said that 1 kilos of milk feed per animal will be given to businesses with 5 to 500 animals. Noting that their support will be up to 2,5 tons per farm, Atalık said, “With our support, we are reducing the production costs of our farmers. We provide better quality production. We will give their feed, they will produce their beautiful quality milk. As Halk Süt, we will buy those milks again and present them to our children in a high quality, nutritious and nutritious way. We provide our dairy feed support to all producers who apply with their membership certificate proving that they are members of the Istanbul Cattle Breeders' Association, without any discrimination.”
Speaking to İBB TV, the producers stated that they had the opportunity to breathe with support. Noting that the cost of animal feed has doubled compared to the increase in the liter price of milk, the producers noted that thanks to the support, they will have the opportunity to meet their other needs.
