The world's best drone racers are preparing to compete in the World Drone Championship, which will be held at Atatürk Airport between 23-26 September as part of the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival. The "Drone Race", which has been held since 2018, won the title of "the best sports event in the world" at the Event Production Awards and where the fastest pilots take part, is conducted by STM Defense Technologies. This year, 16 athletes from 32 countries will participate in the World Drone Cup, which was held last year in Rumkale on a specially prepared track among historical and natural beauties, where 32 licensed pilots competed fiercely. The name that will compete on behalf of Turkey will be determined at the end of the Turkey Drone Championship. In the championship, whose applications will end on June 20, the first prize will be 30 thousand, the second prize will be 20 thousand, and the third prize will be 10 thousand TL.
In the World Drone Cup, which is a very important event for enthusiasts, the pilots will compete on specially prepared challenging tracks with vehicles designed and assembled by themselves. High speed and maneuverability; The competition, which will include vehicles designed entirely based on the user's control ability, will also be the scene of exciting images.
