According to China Railways Hohhot Group, a total of 2013 Sino-European freight trains have passed through the land port of Erenhot in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region since 7.

As of Wednesday, a total of 30,5 China-Europe freight trains crossed the land port, an increase of 1.188 percent compared to the same period last year. While 669 of the said trains were made up of those traveling abroad, this number increased by 70,7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

Imports include agricultural products such as sugar, sunflower seeds, linseed and sunflower oil, as well as traditional products such as wood, pulp and other building materials.

Among the products exported are high value-added goods such as mechanical and electrical products, automobiles, auto parts sets and solar energy products, as well as textiles, daily necessities and household appliances.

The only railway port between China and Mongolia, Erenhot, is served by a Sino-European freight train serving 47 routes. Routes start in more than 40 cities across China and end at 10 destinations in 60 countries. Hamburg, Rotterdam, Moscow and Warsaw are among these destinations.
