The new member of the Porsche Cayenne model family is much sportier: the 640-liter twin-turbo V4 engine with 8 PS makes the Cayenne Turbo GT a racing character.

Porsche adds a sporty member to its Cayenne model range: Designed for maximum performance and handling, the new Cayenne Turbo GT combines outstanding driving dynamics with a high degree of everyday driving. The 640-liter twin-turbo V4 engine with 8 PS forms the basis of the model's extraordinary driving characteristics.

With 90 PS more power than the Cayenne Turbo Coupé and a maximum torque of 80 Nm by 850 Nm, the Cayenne Turbo GT takes 0,6 seconds less than the coupe body version; It can accelerate from 3,3 to 0 km/h in just 100 seconds. The top speed of the new SUV model also increases by 14 km / h, reaching 300 km / h.

With even more sporty lines, the four-seater Cayenne Turbo GT stands out with all the chassis systems offered as standard and performance tires specially developed for this model. The powertrain and chassis also have a structure designed specifically for the Cayenne Turbo GT. In this way, it also assumes an identity with racetrack capability. The Cayenne Turbo GT proves this ability with the official SUV record, which was set by Lars Kern with a lap time of 20:832 minutes on the 7 km Nürburgring Nordschleife track.

Compared to the Cayenne Turbo Coupé, the Turbo GT is 17mm lower. Accordingly, both passive chassis components and active control systems have been redesigned, optimized for handling and performance. In addition, special calibration is highlighted as an indicator of the perfect interaction between them. For example, the three-chamber air suspension resistance has been increased by up to 15 percent. In addition to Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), speed-sensitive steering and rear axle steering systems have also been adapted. The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilization system now works with performance-oriented control software. The result is a more precise steering style at higher cornering speeds, as well as roll resistance and handling.

In parallel, the Porsche Torque Distribution System allows higher torque deflection rates. The comprehensively optimized front axle also furthers handling. Compared to the Turbo Coupé, the front wheels are one inch wider and the negative camber angle increased by 0,45 degrees, giving the new 22-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa performance tires developed specifically for the Turbo GT a wider contact area. Braking tasks are handled by the standard-equipped Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake System (PCCB).

Faster changing Tiptronic S and titanium sports exhaust system

The Cayenne Turbo GT's twin-turbo engine is currently Porsche's most powerful eight-cylinder engine. The most extensive improvements have been made in the areas of moving parts, turbocharging, direct fuel injection, induction system and intercooler. The Turbo GT's V8 differs from the Turbo Coupé in key aspects such as the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, distribution chain drive and torsional vibration. Given the 640 PS increase in power, these components are designed for improved driving dynamics. The faster shifting eight-speed Tiptronic S and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system have also been modified. Additional water cooling is also available for the intermediate gearbox. The Cayenne Turbo GT has a standard sports exhaust system with unique central tailpipes. The exhaust system from the middle of the car, including the rear muffler, is made of lightweight and particularly heat-resistant titanium. An additional weight saving is achieved by not including the middle muffler.

Sporty equipment: lots of carbon on the outside, plenty of Alcantara on the inside

Available with optional paint in the new Arctic Grey, the Cayenne Turbo GT emphasizes its unique sportiness through the extraordinary features of its advanced design. These include an eye-catching spoiler lip that creates a unique front appearance and a lower front panel with GT-specific enlarged side cooling air intakes. The contoured carbon roof and black fender extensions feature a prominent side view, along with 22-inch Neodymium GT Design wheels. Carbon side plates fitted longitudinally to the roof spoiler and an adaptively extendable rear spoiler lip 25 mm larger than that fitted to the Turbo are GT-specific. This increases the downforce by up to 40 kilograms at the car's top speed. The rear view is rounded off by an eye-catching diffuser panel made of carbon.

Turbo GT first: new infotainment system for Cayenne

The sporty character of the Cayenne Turbo GT is underlined by the high-quality standard equipment and extended Alcantara features of its interior. Eight-way sports seats at the front and a dual sports rear seat system are offered as standard. Perforated seat center panels in Alcantara, contrast accents in Neodymium or Arctic Grey, and "turbo GT" lettering on the headrests, each of which stands out as GT-specific. As expected in Porsche's sports cars, the multifunction sports steering wheel stands out with a yellow 12 o'clock marking. Depending on the specified upholstery, selected accent strips are finished in matte Black.

With the Turbo GT, the new generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system is introduced to the market with improved performance, a new user interface and a new operating logic in Cayenne. As before, PCM 6.0 is fully compatible with Apple CarPlay and also allows for extensive integration of Apple Music and Apple Podcasts. However, the infotainment system now also includes Android Auto, which means all popular smartphones can now be integrated.
