Welcoming Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, President Ekrem Yüce made an important statement for the rail system. Yüce said, “We presented the rail system project, which is indispensable for the city, to our minister. Our work has begun for a project that will bring transportation to a new age," he said. Referring to the details of the project, President Yüce said that the rail system will carry passengers from the city center to 3 different routes.
Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, who came to Sakarya for a series of programs, visited Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality. During the visit of Karaismailoğlu, who was welcomed by President Ekrem Yüce, Ak Party Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz, Sakarya Governor Çetin Oktay Kaldirim, Ak Party Provincial President Yunus Tever and TÜRASAŞ General Manager Metin Yazar were present. During the meeting, President Yüce presented the rail system project that will take the transportation of Sakarya to a new age and many projects related to city transportation to Minister Karaismailoğlu.
They discussed the rail system project
Explaining the details about the visit, President Yüce heralded that they received a positive response from the minister for the rail system. Stating that the rail system will carry passengers from the city center to 3 different routes, President Yüce said that Minister İsmailoğlu also gave instructions for the construction of the 18-kilometer Karapürçek Road, Alifuatpaşa Junction, Pamukova YHT Station and the new highway entrance.

Emphasizing that the rail system is indispensable for Sakarya, Mayor Yüce explained the details of the projects and said, “We shared our rail system projects, which we consider indispensable in Sakarya, with the minister. Within the scope of this study, our routes were determined. The first route is planned between Korucuk, a thousand-bed hospital and the city center. The other line will run between Station Square and Serdivan Campus. The third and final route will carry passengers between the Station Square, SATSO, industry and the Metropolitan Terminal. This project will bring a new era to city transportation. A report on the subject will be prepared as soon as possible and we will bring this project to the city.” he said.
Instructed for 4 different projects
Expressing that Minister İsmailoğlu gave the necessary instructions for 4 different projects in the city, President Yüce said, “We discussed our 18-kilometer road in Karapürçek with our minister and he gave his instructions, saying that he would take care of it. We have also resolved the issue of Alifuatpaşa Junction. Within a month, work will begin on this subject. Pamukova High Speed Train (YHT) station was also on the agenda. Work on this station will begin within a month. We also shared our new highway exit project with the minister. Hopefully, we will get the results of all these efforts in the near future," he said.
