Visiting the Loko Maintenance Workshop Directorate within the scope of the tour, Pezük emphasized the importance of all loco maintenance workshops for an effective and efficient operation and said, “It is of great importance that the locomotives are maintained in accordance with the periods. The slightest negligence in this regard leads to the interruption of all our activities. Our Adana Region is a very important region in terms of freight and passenger transportation. I congratulate all my colleagues who took part in the workshop. Thank you." said.

Passing to Mersin International Port, Pezük said, “Mersin international port has connections to Gaziantep, Konya, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Ankara and other industrial cities and international railway lines. Mersin port, one of the important ports of the Eastern Mediterranean; In addition to being the import-export gate of the Central Anatolia, Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia Regions, it is the transit center of the Middle East countries. The port is gaining importance in connection with the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line. While realizing our goal of becoming a logistics base by using the advantages of our country's strategic location, the importance of rail+sea, rail+road combined transportation is of great importance. We continue to develop our work on this issue with determination.” said.

“When the Konya-Karaman-Mersin-Adana high-speed railway line is completed, we will be able to travel at 200 kilometers per hour.”

Stating that the Adana Region will join the regions where high-speed train operations are carried out in the future, Pezük said, “As our Minister explained; With the commissioning of the Konya-Karaman railway line in the very near future, Karaman will be very close to many cities. In the context of these beautiful developments, the works in the Karaman-Ulukışla section of the 237-kilometer Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla High Speed Train Line Project and the tender preparations for the Aksaray-Ulukışla-Yenice High Speed Train Line are continuing. With these projects, the economic, social and cultural structure of Adana and other cities will become more dynamic. When the construction of all sections between Konya-Karaman-Mersin-Adana is completed, we will be able to travel on the line at 200 kilometers per hour. In this sense, the area of responsibility and duty of our Adana Region will expand.” said.
