The event, which will include teams and clubs, will take place on 26 June. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) organizes Rowing Races in the Golden Horn, the pearl of Istanbul, known to the world as the “Golden Horn”. The races to be held in cooperation with the IMM Youth and Sports Directorate and SPORT ISTANBUL have a quota of 500 people. While the registrations were taken on the website of SPOR ISTANBUL, the deadline for applications was set as June 23.
SPECIAL RACE IN THE GOLDEN HORN
The Golden Horn Rowing Races will be held on a 4-meter track, with special race status and Coastal Endurance type. The organization, where the participants will compete with Sea Rowing Four doubles (500X+) class boats, will be held in the U4, adults and masters categories.
FISA RULES WILL APPLY
Athletes will start the race from Atatürk (Unkapanı) Bridge and finish in Miniatürk. IMM will take security, Covid-19 and all other health measures for the event. The International Rowing Federation (FISA) Sea Rowing Rules will be applied in the competitions to be managed by the referees of the Turkish Rowing Federation.
