Answering the questions of the citizens, Mayor Büyükakın gave information to the people of Gebze about the transportation projects as well as the services implemented. Underlining that with the Metro project, which is under construction, an important alternative to the road transportation between Gebze Organized Industrial Zone and Gebze-Darıca districts, President Büyükakın said, “Our Gebze OSB-Darıca Beach Metro Line will also be connected to Marmaray. Gebze OSB-Darıca Sahil Metro Project will provide great convenience for the people of Gebze to connect with Sahil and Marmaray”.

Saying to the citizens who want to get information about the Gebze OSB-Darıca Beach Metro Line project, "The number of stations of our Gebze OSB-Darıca Beach Metro Line is planned as 11 and the line length is 15,4 kilometers," Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr Tahir Büyükakın said, “The part of the line between OSB and Gebze Station, whose investment amount is 2 billion 488 million 489 thousand liras, will be put into service in the first quarter of 2023, and the Gebze Station-Darıca Coastal section by the end of 2023. I would like to thank our President and Ministry once again for this transportation project, which will touch the lives of our citizens in our Gebze region," he said.
