Zonguldak Bulent Ecevit University Rector Prof. Dr. With the participation of Mustafa Çufalı and Zonguldak Governor Mustafa Tutulmaz, the presentation book of the Filyos Workshop, which was held online and at the Sezai Karakoç Cultural Center on 12-13 February 2021 at our university, was held at the press conference held in the Rectorate Senate Hall.
Meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. It started with the opening speech of Mustafa Çufalı. Rector Chufali; He stated that he was happy to present the book of proceedings of the Filyos Workshop, which was held on 12-13 February 2021 with high-level participation within the scope of the Filyos Valley Project, which is among the biggest investments of our country in the name of regional and national development. The Rector of the University continued his words as follows:
“As a University, we have attributed the year 2021 to the 'Year of Filyos'. It will be beneficial for the participants, the stakeholders of the project and those concerned to publish the works presented at the workshop organized within the scope of the Filyos Valley Project. As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, which is among the important dynamics of the city and the Western Black Sea Region; We will continue to play a role in every stage of this mega project with all kinds of academic and scientific infrastructure support to be provided within the framework of university-industry cooperation in the 'Filyos Valley Project', one of the biggest national development initiatives of our country. I would like to thank our Governor, Mustafa Tutulmaz, who contributed at every stage of the project, and those who contributed.”
Speaking at the meeting, one of the editors of the book, Prof. Dr. Hamza Cestepe; “Filyos Workshop, the content of the Proceedings Book; It consists of keynote speeches, stakeholder presentations including our university, roundtable online parallel sessions, discussion conclusions and workshop conclusions. The Final Declaration of Filyos Workshop was prepared in 3 languages: Turkish, English and Russian. I think this book, which is the first work on the Filyos Valley Project, will be a reference source. In this process, our Governor Mustafa Tutulmaz and our Rector Prof. Dr. I would like to thank Mustafa Çufalı for his contribution and support. The other two editors of the book are Assoc. Dr. I would like to thank Ali Başhan and Deputy Secretary General Fehmi Gür, the members of the organizing committee and those who contributed”.
At the meeting, Governor Mustafa Tutulmaz; Reminding that Filyos Workshop is an important workshop for our Zonguldak province and our country; Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit, who hosted this workshop, started his speech by reiterating his thanks to the Rector and staff of our University.
Governor Tutulmaz continued his words as follows; The 'Filyos Workshop Proceedings Book' was a valuable work that brought together the presentations that sought the answer to the question of how we can go further with different perspectives, raising awareness for those involved and those involved in this mega project. On this occasion, I repeat that the Filyos Valley Project is beneficial for our city and country. Just as multidisciplinary studies are important in academia for good works to emerge today, different institutions work together; Projects where the concept of "management" is replaced by the concept of "governance" are also more efficient. At this point, our Rector, Prof. Dr. I congratulate him again for his academic and scientific studies before Mustafa Çufalı.” he ended his speech.
