Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality teams started asphalt renewal works on Erkilet Boulevard, one of the most important streets of the city, which will cost a total of 7.5 million TL. In the works to be completed in two stages, a total of 15 tons of hot asphalt will be laid.
While Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality continues its road construction, maintenance and repair works in all areas of the city, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. With the instructions of Memduh Büyükkılıç, the asphalt attack continues meticulously in the city.
In this context, asphalt renewal works are carried out for the section that starts in front of the Regional Court of Justice and extends to the intersection of Erkilet Boulevard and Bekir Yıldız Boulevard by the Department of Science Affairs. The scraping of the asphalt, which has completed its life, has been started by the teams. In total, in the first stage, it is planned to scrape 1.8 thousand cubic meters of asphalt for the 15 kilometers long and 2 meters wide road, and to lay the first part of asphalt, called 5 thousand tons of binder layer, instead. After the work is completed, asphalt paving will be made, which is specified as the 1nd part wear layer. It is aimed to lay a total of 2 thousand tons of hot asphalt in this stage by the Metropolitan Municipality teams.
On the other hand, in the second stage, it is planned to renew the asphalt, starting from the intersection of Erkilet Boulevard and Bekir Yıldız Boulevard, and ending at the junction of Karpuzatan Facilities, with a length of 2 kilometers and a width of 11 meters. For this road, 3 thousand cubic meters of asphalt will be scraped and 7 thousand 500 tons of asphalt will be laid instead.
In the works to be completed in two stages, a total of 15 tons of hot asphalt will be laid. The cost of these works will be 500 million TL in total.
