The number of applicants for iF DESIGN AWARD 2021 was high. The jury members had to choose the winner of the coveted prize from almost 52 applications from 10 countries. Despite the strong competition, the new MAN Truck Generation managed to convince the strong, independent, international jury of 98 people with the harmony of the materials and colors used, while the MAN TGX impressed the jury with its particularly functional design in an additional competition.

Consistently driver focused design
MAN has incorporated the drivers of up to 700 trucks of different models, driving simulators and test track work into the development of the new truck generation, thereby integrating the experience of these drivers into the design of the new truck generation.
The driver's position is determined by three systems that can be operated independently: the instrument cluster on the one hand, the media and navigation system with a 12,3-inch display on the other, and the innovative MAN SmartSelect operating unit and the interior remote control in the cab of long-distance vehicles to control comfort and entertainment functions from the lounge area. . Each system has its own truck-specific control logic and is also integrated into the holistic interaction concept.
