The renovation works of the Menderes Bridge, which was destroyed on the grounds that it was not durable in January, was 80 percent completed.

Last January, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan and Sarayköy Mayor Ahmet Necati Özbaş started the construction of the new Menderes Bridge, which was promised to the people of the district.

The bridge on the Menderes River was destroyed on the grounds that it was not durable. The General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works started a feverish work for the new bridge to be built. Making visible progress after 3 months, the teams completed 80 percent of the new bridge. The construction of the new bridge will end with the concrete work on the bridge after pedestrian and vehicle barriers. It was stated that the pedestrian crossing on the bridge will open in June with vehicle traffic at the end of May.

The new version of the Menderes Bridge, which connects the districts of Köprübaşı, Sazak, Tosunlar, Ahmetli and Tepeköy, as well as the districts of Buldan and Güney and Manisa with Denizli, will have a 86-meter long double-lane vehicle road and 1.5-meter pedestrian paths.

Renovation works started in January after the end of life of our Menderes Bridge, which has witnessed history. After 3 months, our bridge is almost finished. We promised our citizens to renew our bridge with our Metropolitan Mayor Osman Zolan in the 2019 local elections. We made our promise come true. To all the ministers of our government, especially to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to our General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, to our AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Cahit Özkan, to our AK Party Denizli Deputies Ahmet Yıldız, Şahin Tin and Nilgün Ök, to our Metropolitan Mayor Osman “We would like to thank Zolan and our AK Party Provincial Chair Yücel Güngör”.
