Automobile sales in China continue to increase steadily. According to the statement made by the Chinese Passenger Cars Association (CPCA), in April, passenger car sales in the country increased compared to the same period last year, which experienced a major decline due to Kovid-19.

According to the data released by the CPCA, retail sales of passenger cars in April rose by 12,4 percent compared to the same period last year, to about 1,61 million units. However, the rate of increase was behind March. The rate of increase in luxury car sales in April was 30 percent. The association pointed out that the increase in luxury vehicle sales increased by 2019 percent compared to 50.

Automobile sales in the first four months of the year reached 6,7 million units, increasing by 50,7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In fact, this ratio marks a record jump seen since 2005.

On the other hand, according to the data released by the China Automobile Manufacturers Association (CAAM), the country's automobile exports continue to grow. The figures show that China's automobile exports increased by 1,1 percent in April compared to the same period last year, reaching 151 units, which means a monthly growth of 13,7 percent.

While approximately 516 thousand cars were exported in the first four months of this year, this figure indicates an increase of 88,1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. CAAM's data revealed that, in the period in question, passenger car exports rose by 89,3 percent to 396 thousand units, while commercial vehicle exports increased by 84,3 percent to 120 thousand units.
