The International Erciyes Ultra Sky Mountain Marathon, which will be held for the 5th time this year with the Middle Earth Travel organization hosted by Kayseri Erciyes A.Ş, makes its name mentioned in the world racing literature. The mountain run, which was canceled due to the pandemic last summer and turned the eyes of the running community from all over the world to Erciyes, will be run on July 2-3, 2021.
The Erciyes Mountain Marathon, headquartered in Switzerland and included in the ITRA calendar, which is the managing body of international mountain running, has become one of the most important running competitions in our country. The races, in which important athletes from different countries of the world and Turkey will participate, will be held in 2 different stages as 64K, 25K, 12K and Vertical Kilometer VK for 4 days.
The Vertical Kilometer (VK) race, which is a very special category, is the highest vertical run in Europe. Athletes will start from 1000 meters at Hisarcık Kapı and reach the finish at an altitude of 2.350 meters at the upper station of the Ottoman facility on this track, which is a 3.360-meter ascent run.
On the 64K Erciyes Ultra Sky track, athletes run around the Erciyes Mountain 64 degrees across the 360-kilometer challenging terrain. The 25K Trail Run, on the other hand, consists of a 25-kilometer track and extends to Hacılar Sarı Lake. At 12K, competitors run between Hacılar Kapı and Tekir Kapı and sweat for 12 kilometers. .
