The third group of unmanned mine clearing equipment MEMATT produced by ASFAT, affiliated to the Ministry of National Defense, was delivered to Azerbaijan.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense on May 26, 2021, the delivery of the third lot consisting of 5 vehicles has also been completed. The total number of MEMATT vehicles in the Azerbaijani inventory reached 2021 with the first lot deliveries in February 2, 5 vehicles in the second lot deliveries on May 2021, 5 and finally the third lot deliveries of 26 units on May 2021, 5.
Under the project, 20 unmanned mine clearance equipment MEMATT will be delivered to Azerbaijan. With the cooperation of ASFAT and the private sector, Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment (MEMATT), whose design, prototype production, mass production and certification stages were completed in just 14 months from the R&D stage, was produced and made ready for the service of the Turkish Armed Forces.
Domestic production mine clearing vehicle MEMATT passed all tests in Azerbaijan
According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense on February 10, 2021, "Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment (MEMATT)" produced by ASFAT passed all tests in Azerbaijan. The commander of the Azerbaijani Engineering Forces Brigadier General Anar Kerimov and ASFAT officials followed the testing and training activities of MEMATTs, whose first export was made to Azerbaijan.
In the test conducted on the exercise field near Baku, MEMATT was successful by destroying all the mines laid in the field and was appreciated by the Azerbaijani authorities. Certificates were presented to the personnel who will use the vehicles after the tests.
Brigadier General Kerimov told reporters that MEMATTs would soon participate in mine clearing activities in areas liberated from Armenian occupation.
