Work started again at Izmit 42 Evler Station on the new line to be used by the commuter train between Adapazarı Arifiye and Pendik. The teams will make the waiting areas for the passengers after completing the groundwork.

IT STARTED TWO YEARS AGO

The work at Izmit 42 Evler station on the new line to be used by the suburban train between Adapazarı Arifiye-Pendik by TCDD has not been completed for almost two years. The tender for the infrastructure, superstructure and electrification works of the Gebze-Köseköy Railway 42rd and 3th line station construction, including the 4 Evler Train Station construction work, was undertaken by the Abu company from Ankara. The company started its work in Köseköy, İzmit 42 Evler and Gebze at the same time. Ground improvement work was carried out before the station construction work in Izmit 42 Evler locality. The superstructure work also started about a year ago.

SLOWED IN THE OUTBREAK

The coronavirus outbreak that occurred in March last year slowed down the station construction work. The company responsible did not completely stop the work after the epidemic appeared, but reduced the staff by half as part of the measures. The works naturally slowed down, the train station construction was delayed. After the announcement of the company managers, who said that the construction of the station would be completed after the new year, it was wondered when the works would progress efficiently. Then, the ground work at 42 Evler Suburban Train Station has recently resumed. The first work to be done after the ground will be the creation of passenger waiting areas.
