At the May Ordinary Assembly Meeting of Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTSO), one of the biggest problems of Fethiye, the yacht boat problem and alternative places related to the new yacht boatyard project were discussed.
FTSO May Ordinary Monthly held on Thursday, May 2, under the chairmanship of FTSO Council President Mustafa Büyükteke, the issue of alternative areas related to the transportation of the shipyard in Karagözler and the new yacht berth in the 20nd Karagözler, which is a growing problem of Fethiye and alleged to cause the pollution of the bay. Speaking at the opening of the meeting, FTSO Assembly President Mustafa Büyükteke said that the solution of the shipyard problem and the new yacht berth, which has been closely followed by the Fethiye maritime sector for years, is one of the biggest needs of the region. Sector representatives and experts who attended the council meeting expressed their views on the new yacht boatyard, which is on the agenda to be built in Karaot or Çiftlik, and expressed their agreement that the yacht boatyard should be moved from Karagözler as soon as possible.
