Museologists and museum volunteers will meet at online events on 18 May International Museum Day. The future of museums in Turkey will be discussed in online seminars to be held.

In the first of the seminars to be held in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, the International Council of Museums ICOM Turkey National Committee and the Museum of Museums Association, the “The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine” was determined by ICOM for 2021. Presentations will be made within the scope of the theme.

The headlines of the webinar, which will be attended by experts from many important museums in Turkey, are; "What Can Museums Achieve in the Contemporary World?", "Institutional Design of the Museum and the Institute Museum Approach", "The Social / Social Role of Museums and Sustainability", "The Sustainability of Museums in the Effect of Climate Change", "Digital Transformation / Digitalization / Technology in Museums" and "New Museology Applications will be ”.

Troy Museum, Konya Museum, Alanya Museum, Gaziantep Museum, Galata Mevlevihanesi Museum, Aydın Museum, Kocaeli Museum, Van Museum and Ephesus Museum, as well as Rahmi M.Koç Museum, Doğançay Museum, Hacettepe Art Museum, Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum, Tire City Museum, Istanbul University-Museum Management Department, Museum of Professional Organization Association, Yapı Kredi Museum, Illusion Museum, İzmir Painting and Sculpture Museum and Gallery, and 25 museums from ICOM Turkey, Museum Piggy Bank and Bursa Conquest Museum will attend.
