China Ministry of Foreign Affairs SözcüZhao Lijian noted that the American politician's call for a boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics will come to nothing.
US House of Representatives President Nancy Pelosi made statements slandering the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in the session held yesterday in Congress.
Addressing the issue at the daily press conference Sözcü Zhao responded to the US politician who called for a boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics, citing China's so-called "human rights problems". Chinese SözcüPointing out that the US politician's statement was full of lies and misinformation, he said it was typical American nonsense. Zhao Lijian underlined that the boycott call will not win anybody's support and will result in disappointment.
