Test drives, the penultimate stage of the "Car of the Year in Turkey-6" competition organized by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) for the 2021th time, were performed. OGD members met at Intercity Istanbul Park for a test drive before the second voting in June and tested 7 finalist cars.
In the event where Dacia Sandero Stepway, Fiat Egea Cross, Hyundai i20, Peugeot 208, Renault Captur, Skoda Octavia and Toyota Yaris were tested, cars were evaluated on the topics of handling, ergonomics, fuel consumption, emission rates, safety, equipment level, price-performance. .
After the test drive, the candidate who got the most points as a result of the final voting will take place on Tuesday, June 22, when the award ceremony will take place. Youtube and will be announced in the program that will be broadcast live on social media.
The "Design of the Year" award will also be given in the "Car of the Year in Turkey" competition sponsored by ALJ Finans, Bridgestone, Intercity, Shell Helix Motor Oils and TÜVTÜRK. OGD members will select three cars whose design they like from among the 27 cars nominated this year. The car with the most votes will win the "Design of the Year" award.
