Results of the '10 Minutes Handicapped 'National Short Film Competition Announced

The results of the national short film competition on "10 Minutes Disabled" organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality have been announced. Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerCongratulating the award winners, he said, “We will overcome the obstacles together”.

The results of the Izmir 10th National Short Film Competition Without Barriers, organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Culture and Arts with the theme of "4 Minutes Handicapped", have been announced. The first prize was awarded to Özer Kesemen's movie "Aşk", the second prize to Mustafa Yılmaz's "Hülya - A Sweet Dream", and the third prize to Erdi Tokol's film "The Ring". Segah Gümüş's film "Holding Hands" was deemed worthy of the special jury award.

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer congratulated the winners of the competition. Also, thank you to everyone who participated in the competition. Tunç Soyer, underlining the importance of these organizations in raising awareness, said, “We will overcome the obstacles together”.

The date of the "Colloquium and Award Ceremony" planned to be held on 27 May 2021 will be determined according to the pandemic conditions.

The purpose of the contest was declared as to draw attention to the facilitation of the participation of disabled people in urban and social life and to enable citizens who are sensitive to this issue to express their feelings and thoughts. The first prize of the competition was determined as 30 thousand, the second prize as 15 thousand, the third prize as 10 thousand, and the special jury prize as 5 thousand liras. 18 films participated in the competition, which was held in a single category, including those aged 11 and over.
