Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues its disinfection works in buses, taxis and minibuses without interruption as part of the measures to combat coronavirus. While buses are disinfected at least twice during the day and before departure, daily disinfection continues uninterruptedly at taxi and minibus stops.

While the teams provide uninterrupted service by visiting the minibuses and taxi stands in their own regions, the taxis are regularly disinfected in front of the Izmir Chamber of Drivers and Craftsmen five days a week. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Branch Directorate teams, which have completed disinfection at 367 thousand points since last year, continue their work uninterruptedly during the full closure period.

Conscious and scientific method

At the transfer centers of the buses, our personnel carry out disinfection studies after the passengers get off. A bus is disinfected at least twice a day. In addition, the taxi carries out disinfection work inside the vehicle after the passengers get off at the minibus stops. We have a busy schedule. As of the season, we continue both disinfection and disinfection works without interruption. Our work will continue uninterruptedly in the period of complete closure ”.

Police teams are also under supervision

The teams, which examine the passenger density and hygiene rules in the vehicles, also check the compliance with the routine cleaning procedures.
