Ziya Selçuk, the Minister of National Education, made a post with the heading "The questions and answers about the exams in high schools" using the expressions "Let's not say that the exams in high schools are canceled, let's say they are reorganized".

The statement of the Ministry said: “Our Ministry has decided to reorganize the exam practices in official and private secondary education institutions in line with epidemic measures and within this scope, the exams for the first and second semesters of the 2020-2021 academic year were completed in the 12th grade; Assessment and evaluation practices and processes were rearranged, taking into account the issues of preparation, the fact that the exams were held in most of the 9th, 10th and 11th grades.

Accordingly, in public and private secondary education institutions;

1- There will be a single exam for each course for the second term of the 2020-2021 academic year.

2- Since the exams for the first and second semesters are completed at the 12th grade level, the work and procedures of these classes for the 2020-2021 academic year will be completed in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Regulation.

3- Preparation for the exams to be held in the second term of the 2020-2021 academic year and 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will be given the right to choose whether to take these exams or not. The parents of the students who do not want to take the exams will be required to apply to the directorates of the educational institution with their petitions containing these requests by 21 May 2021 at the latest.

4- The work and procedures of the students whose petitions have been received by the directorates of the educational institution and who will not participate in the second term exams to be held in line with their preferences will be completed according to the first term grades of the 2020-2021 academic year and no other measurement and evaluation practices will be carried out for these students.

5- The work and procedures for the end of the 2020-2021 academic year will be completed by taking the exams and other assessment and evaluation applications into consideration for the students who could not take the exams for the second semester of the 2020-2021 academic year and would like to take the second semester exams in line with the calendar. .

6- Prep, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students, who have completed the exams for the second term of the 2020-2021 academic year, will also be given the right to choose, and if they wish, these students will be evaluated with only the first semester grades.

7- The exams of students who want to participate in the second term of the 2020-2021 academic year will be planned and applied between 1 November 2020 - 26 March 2021.

8- Students who will be in a different province and abroad between the dates of 2020 May - 2021 June 24, when the exams for the second term of the 18-2021 academic year will be held, will be able to apply exams at their locations.

9- Responsibility exams to be held in the last two weeks of the second term of the 2020-2021 academic year will be held between June 21 - July 2, 2021.

10- The responsibilities of the 12th grade students for the 2020-2021 academic year and the courses they failed will be included in the responsibility exams to be held between 21 June - 2 July 2021.

11- It will be held between 2020 June - 2021 July 24 for students who could not take the exams held in the first and second semesters of the 18-2021 academic year due to a valid excuse, and those who would like to take the exams to be held between May 21 and June 2, 2021 but could not attend due to a valid excuse. Exam right will be granted during the period of responsibility exams
