Applications have started to be received for 100 firefighters to be employed within the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Candidates must apply to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Training Branch from 24 May 2021 until the end of work on 28 May 2021 in order to participate in the oral and practical exam.
In order to be employed under the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, subject to the Civil Servants Law No. 657; In accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Fire Brigade Regulation, applications for the recruitment of officers by open appointment have started, provided that they meet the title, class, grade, number, qualifications, KPSS score type, KPSS base score and other conditions. Applications will be received in order to participate in the oral and practical exam until the end of working hours on 28 May 2021. An oral and practical exam will be held between 14 June 2021-09 July 2021.
KPSS requirement for candidates
Officer candidates to be recruited through open appointment must have entered the KPSS. Those whose applications are accepted will also be invited to the oral and practical exam.
Candidates to be recruited as firefighters must meet the conditions specified in Article 657 of the Civil Servants Law No. 48. 50 personnel to be recruited must have at least C class driver's license, as well as the requirement to graduate from one of the firefighting and fire safety fields and branches of secondary education institutions. The other 50 candidates must also graduate from one of the Firefighting and Fire Safety, Firefighting and Civil Defense, Civil Defense and Firefighting Associate Degree programs.
Special conditions sought in the application
Male candidates to apply should be at least 1.67 meters, women should be at least 1.60 meters tall, and there should be no more than 1 kilograms (plus-minus) difference between their height and weight (plus-minus). In addition, there is a requirement not to be over the age of 10 at the time of the exam. Again, the candidates should not have phobias such as indoor space, narrow space and height.
