Military Satellite Communication System Project for Kılıç Class Assault Boats (KASUMSIS)

ASELSAN continues to offer unique Satellite Communication Terminal solutions that serve in different frequency bands for various platforms. In 2020, within the scope of the Military Satellite Communication System Supply Project for Kılıç Class Assault Boats (KASUMSIS), 4 more Kılıç class assault boats and 1 meter X-Band Ship Satellite Communication Terminal integration studies were carried out. The 1st stage tests, which were carried out after the studies, were carried out with the participation of the Defense Industry Presidency and the Naval Forces Command. In addition, the provisional acceptance of the Surveillance Coordination Center and Satellite Backup Control Center units within the scope of the project has been completed.

Test and Training Ship (TVEG) Project - Satellite Communication Systems

The Stabilized X-Band Ship Satellite Communication Terminal with 1,8 meters double antenna, designed and produced domestically by ASELSAN, was included in the Naval Forces Command inventory for the first time within the scope of this project. In this context, Port and Cruise Acceptance Tests were carried out in 2020 and the commitments regarding the Satellite Communication system were fully completed.

MİLGEM-5 Project - Satellite Communication System

In 2020, within the scope of the MİLGEM-5 Satellite Communication System Project, the System Requirement Features Phase was completed, and the critical design activities of the Satellite Communication system were successfully continued.

The localization rate of MİLGEM 5 will be over 70%

SSB Naval Vehicles Department Head Alper Köse, who attended the STG'21 event as a speaker, gave some important information about MİLGEM Ada Class Corvettes. Köse explained the differences in the first and last MİLGEM Corvettes that have already been delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces and the related localization studies. Describing how the localization rate has changed from the first ship to the 5th ship, which is still under construction, Köse said that this rate will exceed 5% in MİLGEM 70 (TCG Istanbul Frigate). he mentioned.

Replenishment at Sea Support Ship (DİMDEG) Project - Satellite Communication System

For the needs of the Naval Forces Command, 1 (one) Maritime Replenishment Support Ship ( DİMDEG) supply project continues. According to ASELSAN's 2020 Annual Report, within the scope of the DİMDEG project, Satellite Communication System design activities have been completed. It was stated that procurement and production activities were carried out for the Factory Acceptance Test to be carried out in 2021.

Preveze Class Submarine YÖM Satellite Communication System Project
