Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, met with young people from all over Turkey at the historical Haydarpaşa Train Station at the launch of the “Forward Together” Project on May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. Stating that they aim for a long-term interaction and cooperation with young people, Karaismailoğlu shared the details of the project titled “Together to the Future” and answered the questions of the young people.

Stating that the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has very important projects with the young people of Turkey with the slogan "To the Future Together", Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “Our Ministry has transportation and infrastructure investments at every point of life. Until today, we have brought many gigantic projects to the service of our citizens. We have very important engineering projects. We wanted to share these projects with the young people of Turkey. We wanted to involve our Engineering Faculty students between the ages of 18-25 and all young people in our projects. They will be able to see and examine giant projects in person. We have implemented such a project so that they can contribute to us and we can contribute to them. We will hopefully increase the number of such projects in order to contribute to the education of our youth and gain experience for them ”.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, upon a question asked about the stage of the Channel Istanbul Project, said, “While we are implementing our projects, we are planning the next century, not 5-10 years. We are making plans for 2053 to 2071. Currently, the world trade volume is 12 billion tons, this will increase to 15 billion tons in the next 35 years. 90 percent of this is transported by sea. We are in the middle of Eurasia. We need to turn our logistics position into advantage. Traffic will increase much more on the North-South axis. We need to be prepared for these. There are transit ships on one side and inner city ships on the other. I hope we will start our project with the first bridge at the end of June. We have 6 bridges on the route. Kanal Istanbul is an indispensable project for us to become a logistical superpower, ”he said.
"A citizen who takes a high speed train from Istanbul will be able to reach Sivas"
Speaking about the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Line, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “I hope a citizen who takes a high speed train from Istanbul will be able to reach Sivas at the end of June. We are considering the Ankara-Karaman line at the same dates. We have a 3 thousand 500 km railway line. We have very good ongoing projects. As in the last 19 years, we will continue to bring these projects into the service of our citizens, ”he said.

Minister Karaismailoğlu; Upon a question posed about the importance of Data Centers, stating that they carry data, loads and people as the Ministry; He underlined that one of the most important three pillars of the ministry is data. Karaismailoğlu said, “There are important studies on this subject within the body of both our ministry and Information Technologies BTK. Very important trainings are given in terms of software and hardware. Data transportation is one of the most important jobs of our age. We have very important works that you young people can contribute. I hope you will see our work in this process, ”he said.

The production of our high-speed train, which can reach a speed of 160 km, has been completed in Adapazarı. We started test drives of this. When the test drives are over, we will start mass production. We will rapidly advance to the position of a country that produces and exports. "
