The winners of the 4th Engelsizmir National Cartoon Contest on “prejudice and empathy” organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality have been announced. While Ahmet Aykanat won the first prize, President Soyer said, “We continue our journey to Engelsizmir with the vision of 'Another Disabled Policy Is Possible'. I congratulate every friend who participated in the contest, ”he said.

Organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which carries out a series of studies to find solutions to the problems of the disabled, the “4. Within the scope of the International Barrier-Freemir Congress ”, the“ 4. Engelsizmir National Cartoon Competition ”has been concluded. Ahmet Aykanat won the first place in the "Adults" category, and Efe Şahlan and H. İbrahim Satır in the "Youth" category.

The Barrier-Free Izmir National Cartoon Contest is an event that strengthens our goal of creating a barrier-free city and serves to raise awareness not only in Izmir but also throughout Turkey. Second place to Işın, third place to Munzur

Evaluating 147 cartoons of 340 participants in the contest titled “Prejudice and empathy”, the jury deemed Nuhsal Işın's work second and Sait Munzur's work third in the "Adults" category. Aşkın Ayrancıoğlu, Cem Güzeloğlu and Alper Bulut received the honorable mention awards. The jury consisting of cartoonists Mustafa Yıldız, Sadık Pala, Ahmet Önel and journalist Lütfü Dağtaş, headed by cartoonist Eray Özbek, awarded two works in the "Youth" category. Due to the pandemic, evaluations were made online and via mail.

The winning works in the competition will be exhibited in various events.
