The YERLİSİNYAL system, which was developed by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, Information Technologies Institute (BTE) in conjunction with TCDD, was certified at the SIL4 level, which is the highest level of safety that can be achieved on railways, with the successful completion of the Railway Interlocking Systems International Safety Audit.
Our systems; SIL4 certified the safety level was Turkey's first and only interlocking system.
The interlocking systems, which are the most critical part of the railway signaling systems and ensure the safe operation of the train traffic, could only be procured from abroad for many years.
As a result of efforts to end this external dependency, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM YERLİSİNYAL has developed interlocking systems and traffic control centers locally. The activities of expanding the YERLİSİNYAL systems, which have ended foreign dependency in this field, on our railway lines that are needed are continuing rapidly.
Currently, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM YERLİSİNYAL systems are being developed for the line sections of Ortaklar - Denizli, Malatya-Elazığ, Afyon - Karakuyu, Isparta - Burdur - Denizli, Kayaş - Yerköy and are being commissioned step by step.
This year, Torbalı - Ödemiş and Halkalı - Çerkezköy Studies will be started for line segments.
Efforts are continuing to make YERLİSİNYAL systems compliant with ETCS Level 1 and the laboratory phase has been completed. In this way, it will be possible to use our systems on all our railways, including high-speed train lines.
The backlog acquired in the main line signaling system for the transmission to kentiçimetro work is being perpetuated, Turkey's first indigenous Hatboyu Metro CBTC signaling systems development work has come to completion. The system will be commissioned for the first time this year on the Gayrettepe - Istanbul New Airport Metro line.
