İzmir Metropolitan Municipality changed the voyage times of the Public Vehicle application, which enables public transportation services to be used at certain times of the day with a 50 percent discount. Due to the curfew restriction applied within the scope of combating the pandemic, starting at 19.00, Halk Taşıt flights will be carried out between 18.00-19.00.
In line with the "partial closure decisions" taken by the Ministry of Internal Affairs within the scope of combating the pandemic, the hours in which curfews are applied on weekdays were changed between 19.00-05.00. Taking this into consideration, the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality revised the evening hours of the Public Vehicle service, where a 50 percent discount tariff is applied in public transportation at certain parts of the day. The 19.00 percent discounted tariff service, which was previously applied between 20.00-50 hours, was reduced to 18.00-19.00. The application will be activated as of Wednesday, April 21 and will continue in the same way as long as the curfew hours do not change.
50 percent discounted transportation
Within the scope of the Public Vehicle application, which started on April 29, 2019, public transportation services are offered at a 05.00 percent discount between 07.00-19.00 and 20.00-50 every day. With the Public Vehicle application, citizens within the scope of the full tariff save 134 TL per month and students 50 TL per month. The number of boarding passes during practice hours has exceeded 80 million since the day it started. The total amount of savings contribution in all boarding has reached 70 million TL.
