Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is starting work on Halit Ziya Boulevard, which connects Fevzipaşa Boulevard and Gazi Boulevard, within the scope of the First Stage Interception Infrastructure Project, aimed at preventing floods in Kemeraltı during heavy rainfall.

Completing the connection of the pumping center on Atatürk Street with the sea, the Metropolitan Municipality will lay rainwater, sewerage and drinking water lines in Halit Ziya Boulevard.

The work that will start on Wednesday, April 28 and will last a month, will be carried out during the hours of curfew in order not to affect the traffic flow negatively. On the avenue used by vehicles going from Mustafa Kemal Sahil Boulevard to Alsancak, traffic flow will be provided from a single lane day and night on weekdays. The Boulevard will be closed to traffic during the curfew days and hours.

Within the scope of the project, a drinking water line will be installed between the Clock Tower and Konak (Yali) Mosque, approximately 50 meters.
