Connecting to the ceremony via video conference, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the Hasankeyf-2 Bridge on the Batman-Hasankeyf-Gercüş-Midyat Road is among the longest bridges in our country with a length of 1.001 meters. Stating that the total investment amount of the bridge built in the divided road standard has reached 439 million lira, President Erdoğab stated that the bridge will provide transportation to the new center of Hasankeyf.
President Erdoğan emphasized that this giant work rising on the Tigris River will create a multiplier effect on the trade in the region by providing the connection between Batman Mardin and Habur Border Gate.

The Hasankeyf-2 Bridge, located at the Ilısu Dam Pond crossing, was built with a hybrid design. The bridge has a maximum pillar height of 90 m, a maximum span of 168 m, and 681 meters of balanced cantilevers and 320 meters of prefabricated beams.
Within the scope of the main business items of the project; 221 thousand m of earthworks, 129 thousand m³ of concrete, 35 thousand 500 tons of reinforced concrete, 1.867 tons of prestressing-post-tension steel, 12 thousand m of piles, 128 beams, 2 thousand 252 tons of bituminous hot mix were manufactured.
With the bridge; The transportation that was interrupted in the region was restored in a more comfortable way. The transportation standard on the route extending from Batman to Mardin and Habur Border Gate has been increased, contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
