Engelsizmir National Cartoon Competition Finalists Announced

The finalists in the Engelsizmir National Cartoon Competition on “prejudice and empathy” organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality have been announced.

The finalist works of the Engelsizmir National Cartoon Competition on “prejudice and empathy” organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which set out to be the pioneer of life without barriers, have been announced. In the contest, which was chaired by cartoonist Eray Özbek and where cartoonists Mustafa Yıldız, Sadık Pala, Ahmet Önel and journalist Lütfü Dağtaş were jury members, 147 cartoons of 340 participants were evaluated online and via e-mail due to the pandemic. 12 cartoons in the "Adults" and 4 cartoons in the "Youth" category made it to the finals.

Deadline for objections is 17 April

The 16 selected works will be shared on the social media accounts of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and Engelsizmir and on various competition sites between 12-17 April 2021. Those who come across similar, copied or previously awarded cartoons and fraudulent cartoons among the finalists will be able to notify the competition committee. It is also possible to send the notifications to the address engelsizmir2021@gmail.com. Objections to the finalists will be received until 17 on Saturday, April 12.00. The final results of the competition will be announced on the social media accounts of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and Engelsizmir on April 19.
