Work has accelerated at the 2300th station of Bursaray, which Bursa Metropolitan Municipality has built between the Acemler and Nilüfer stations where the distance between the two stations is the longest with 39 meters.
In order to eliminate the transportation problem in Bursa, the Metropolitan Municipality continues its works such as road widening and new roads, public transportation incentives, rail system signaling optimization, and continues to improve the existing rail system line. Especially in the new stadium, hotels, hospital, shopping malls, cafeterias and the new station built between the Acemler and Nilüfer stations to meet the need in the region where pedestrian activity is intense. Within the scope of the work, 10.000 cubic meters of excavation was carried out, 644 tons of iron was used and 5061 cubic meters of concrete was poured. Within the scope of the works, the well foundation and curtain manufacturing has been completed, the existing line road curtain has been cut according to the platform elevation. While the reinforced concrete fabrications of the raft foundation, platform floor, toll floor and stairs were completed, the catenary system was lowered and the prefabricated beams were installed in order to install the prefabricated beams. While 4 escalators are being placed, the production of electric pans and the production of platform floor mechanical ceramic facade cladding continues.
85 percent of the work done
The physical realization of the project, which was implemented upon the demands of the citizens who had difficulties in accessing the region due to the distance between the recruits and Nilüfer stations, was 2300 meters. Bursaray's number of stations will reach 85 with the completion of floor covering, siding, station finishing works, production of box office floor steel construction, installation of 4 disabled elevators, station electromechanical works and landscaping works.
A serious need
Reminding that the longest distance between stations in the rail system line is in this region, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said, “A tender was held by Burulaş in 2015 to build a station that will meet the needs of the new stadium, hotels, shopping malls, cafeterias and recreational areas. However, the process had stopped for different reasons. Last July, we restarted the process and made significant progress. Hopefully, we will finish this station in a short time and meet the needs of the shopping centers, hotels, stadiums and recreational areas in the region ”.
