Work has begun on the Kuruçeşme Tram line to be built by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. Within the scope of the project, work on the tram line, which is delivered to the site, will be carried out in Kuruçeşme offices.

RAIL SYSTEM NETWORK IS EXPANDING

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which offers huge projects that will bring comfort to transportation, to the service of citizens, is expanding its rail system network by giving priority to public transportation. In this context, the current Akçaray Tram Line in Izmit district will be connected to Kuruçeşme by crossing the D-100 from Plajyolu Station.

THE ROAD IS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC

Work has begun on the tram line to be built between Plajyolu - Kuruçeşme. Within the scope of the study, the existing Akçaray Tram Line will be connected to Kuruçeşme by crossing the D'100 from the Plajyolu Station. The first studies will be done in Kuruçeşme offices. Within the scope of the project, the road in the office area at the entrance of the highway was closed to traffic with the decision of UKOME.

A 332 METER STEEL TRAMWAY BRIDGE WILL BE CONSTRUCTED

The tram line to be built between the beach road and Kuruçeşme will pass from the Plajyolu stop to the Kuruçeşme intersection, over the D-100, with a 332-meter steel tram bridge. For going to the current D-100 Istanbul direction, a connection will be provided from the offices of Izmit west toll booths and Kuruçeşme Junction will be rearranged. With the Kuruçeşme Tram Line, transportation from İzmit Bus Station to Kuruçeşme will be faster and more comfortable.

ACTIVITIES

For going to the current D-100 direction, a connection will be provided from Izmit western toll booth office area and Kuruçeşme Junction will be rearranged. In the project worth 78 million 468 thousand TL, 322 meters of steel bridge, 812 meters of double track, 1 station and 2 pedestrian bridges will be manufactured.
