KA-Band National Satellite Communication HUB System and Modem Development Project Kick-Off Meeting was held with the participation of Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, TÜRKSAT and ASELSAN officials.

Within the scope of the Ka-Band National Satellite Communication HUB System and Modem Development Project, the modems to be used for satellite communication in the Ka-Band frequency band and the unique waveform with the HUB system equipment will be developed, and two HUB systems will be delivered with one hundred and fifty modems.

National HUB System Will Dry in TÜRKSAT Satellite Center

The national HUB system to be developed by ASELSAN will be installed at the satellite center of TÜRKSAT, and the modems to be developed by ASELSAN will be used on the user side, where internet and data services will be provided. With this infrastructure to be established, the communication service via satellite will be offered to users with national facilities.

TÜRKSAT Satellites That Are In Service And Will Be Used To Be Used

Türksat 4A satellite, currently in service, provides Ka-Band access service with its payload. With the TÜRKSAT 5A launched this year and the TÜRKSAT 5B satellites planned to be launched in the second half of this year, the Ka-Band bandwidth is expected to increase fifteen times.

Modems Are Targeted To Be Used By Home Users

With its increased band supply, TURKSAT aims to offer its internet service via satellite to its corporate and public customers, as well as to home users. Therefore, satellite modems produced by ASELSAN, which will be developed within the scope of the project, have the potential to enter our homes.
