The short-time work allowance was extended until the end of June by the President's decision. According to the decision that is valid for all sectors, the short-time working allowance application will continue in April, May and June.

The duration of the short work allowance applied in order to minimize the negative effects of coronavirus on employment has been extended. The short-time work allowance application, which started in April 2020, ended on March 31, and approximately 3 million 850 thousand people benefited from the application. The extension decision, which is taken to be effective as of April 1, will cover all sectors.

In the law, the short work brought about by the pandemic was authorized by the President to be extended until 30 June. The extension process will take place with a decree under this authority. Employees in the lists notified to İŞKUR by the workplaces that have previously applied for short work will benefit from the extension decision. Payments made due to the employer providing incorrect information and documents will be collected from the employer together with the legal interest.
