WE DO OUR BUSINESS WITH LOVE

Sculptor Sercan Saygı, who is responsible for the restoration of the wax sculptures, said, “We bring the deformed wax sculptures of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades on the tobacco pier and are welcomed, and repair cracks, sun-yellowed parts, broken hair and mustache. We make all of his epaulets, buttons, belts and gun holsters from scratch here. The restoration of a statue takes about a week, including the research phase. Then, after correcting the deficiencies and painting, we restore it to its original state and mount it. Even repairing the statue of Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is exciting. It is as if we are experiencing that moment with very different emotions. Touching them gives a different pleasure. We do our job fondly, ”he said.
