Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services, made a statement regarding the support payment for the food and beverage sector announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Selçuk said, “We will support our employees in the food and beverage industry in April and May”.
Minister Selçuk stated that they will provide premium support for employees in the food and beverage sector during the months of April and May, during Ramadan.
According to this; For those who work in March, who cannot benefit from normalization support in April and May and who continue to work, the premium calculated over the minimum wage to be paid by the employers to the SSI will be covered by the Ministry. In addition to the premium support, support will also be given to the insured who take unpaid leave at workplaces operating in the same sector.
Stating that employers need to define their employees' insurances through the e-SGK system in order to benefit from this support, Minister Selçuk noted that the payments will be made to the employees through İŞKUR.
