Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “With the opening of the Kurdish Separation Crossroads, we will ensure an uninterrupted, safe and comfortable traffic flow at the intersection of Trabzon-Gümüşhane and Tirebolu-Torul axes. With the project, we made it possible to pass safely in the region located in the active landslide area with the least cost ”.

Minister Karaismailoğlu opened the Kurdish Separation Crossroad within the scope of the Bayburt-Gümüşhane program today. Stating that the province of Gümüşhane is an important crossroad in the connection of the Eastern Black Sea to the inner parts, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, "Gümüşhane is one of our cities that has always been our priority in terms of its growth rate, economic mobility and geographical location.

"We connected Gümüşhane to Erzincan, Trabzon and Bayburt through divided roads"

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that while the length of the divided road in Gümüşhane was only 2003 kilometer in 1, today it increased to 122 kilometers, “We transferred over 9 billion 257 million 682 thousand liras to Gümüşhane for transportation and communication investments in the last nineteen years. We connected Gümüşhane to Erzincan, Trabzon and Bayburt through divided roads. In the last nineteen years, we built 183 tunnels with a total length of 2 meters, including 12 kilometers of single-road construction and improvement, 18 single-tube and 179 double-tube, in Gümüşhane. In addition, we also brought 14 bridges with a length of 203 meters to our city. As of today, the total cost of 8 ongoing highway projects in Gümüşhane is over 3 billion 2 million TL ”.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that, with the opening of the Kurdish Junction, they provided an uninterrupted, safe and comfortable traffic flow at the intersection of Trabzon-Gümüşhane and Tirebolu-Torul axes. Emphasizing that they made it possible to pass safely with the least cost in the region located in the active landslide area with the project, Karaismailoğlu continued his words as follows:

“The main road is enclosed in a 2 × 290 meter cut-and-cover tunnel, and we built the 904 meters long double-tube Kurdish Tunnel on Tirebolu-Torul Road. The Kurdish Separation Junction and the length of our connection roads; It is a total of 2,9 kilometers, 1,2 kilometers of which are on the Tirebolu Kurtün Road junction and 4,1 kilometers on the Köstere Stream-Gümüşhane axis. In addition, the section of the low standard Tirebolu-Torul Road with sharp curves and steep slopes will be crossed in a much safer way with the Kurdun Tunnel within the scope of the project. We will continue on our way by providing added value to the country's economy with the roads, bridges, railways, airports and ports we have built in every region of our country.

By 2023, we will increase the length of the divided road across the country to 30 thousand kilometers, ”he said.

Within the scope of Bayburt-Gümüşhane program; Minister Karaismailoğlu, who visited the Kop tunnel construction site, Bayburt Governorship, Bayburt Municipality, AK Party Bayburt Provincial Presidency, passed to Gümüşhane after the opening of the Kurdish Junction; Gümüşhane Governorship, Gümüşhane Municipality, AK Party will visit Gümüşhane Provincial Directorate.
