Training Guide on Occupational Health and Safety Services Prepared

The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services has prepared a comprehensive guide on occupational health and safety services for small and micro-sized enterprises operating in the less hazardous class, employing less than 50 employees.

With the enactment of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, the obligation to employ occupational safety specialists and occupational physicians was born in workplaces that were classified as dangerous and very dangerous. On the other hand, the law allowed micro and small businesses in the less dangerous class to provide the said services by the employer / employer representative. The guide, which covers the measures to be taken and the issues to be considered in the workplace, includes the conditions and application of this regulation.

Universities if no qualifications and having a protocol that could Educational, Turkey Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chambers, TOBB affiliated employers' organizations or Municipalities of Turkey will be organized by the Association of 16 hours of training to complete the exam successfully with employers / employer representatives to undertake the occupational health and safety services in their own workplaces. Under the Occupational Health and Safety Services e-Certificate Program, employers and employer representatives will be able to use this guide as a resource during occupational health and safety practices. On the other hand, it will be ensured that workplace employers, which are in the large-scale, dangerous and very dangerous class, have information about their basic responsibilities regarding occupational health and safety and how to fulfill them.

Many topics including physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial risks were discussed in the guide, which includes the basis of occupational health and safety in all processes of production, and the design and arrangement of the working environment according to these principles. In addition, it will be ensured that necessary arrangements are made, taking into account the current legislation provisions on working conditions in workplaces with groups that require special policies such as pregnant, breastfeeding and disabled employees.

The guide, which will be used as a resource by the employer, will guide the implementation of occupational health and safety services at workplaces. The guide, which includes detailed information and explanations for each of the legal obligations, will contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases that may occur at workplaces.
