Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and General Manager Uraloğlu went to the Kop Tunnel construction site, which is under construction within the scope of Trabzon - Aşkale Road (Kop Mountain Tunnel Crossing) and Tunnel Variant Road Project, and received information from the authorities about the latest situation in the works. Making a statement here, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that Bayburt has spent over 2 billion 592 million 736 thousand liras for transportation and communication investments.
While there are only 2 kilometers of divided roads in Bayburt, Minister Karaismailoğlu emphasized that they increased the length of the divided road throughout the province to 105 kilometers. “In the last nineteen years, in Bayburt; We built 114 kilometers of single road construction and improvement, 8 double tube tunnel with a length of 250 thousand 1 meters, and 300 bridges with a total length of 8 meters. While only 1993 million lira was spent for highway investments in Bayburt between 2003-156, we increased this amount by 2003 times to 2021 billion 15 million lira in the 2-413 period ”.
Providing information about the highway projects in Bayburt, Karaismailoğlu said, “125 kilometers Bayburt-Erzurum road, 52 kilometers Köse-Bayburt road, 9,9 kilometers Demirözü-Gökçedere road and 4,2 kilometers long Araklı-Dağbaşı-Uğrak-Salmankaş Tunnel and connection roads. Karaismailoğlu stated that 83,6 kilometers of the Trabzon-Aşkale Yolu Kale-Maden-Highways Erzurum 12th Regional Border road, which has a total length of 59,6 kilometers, has been constructed so far and that the project is expected to be completed within this year.
Minister Karaismailoğlu, who stated that 6.986 meters of Excavation-Support and 4.498 meters of Final Lining Concrete have been produced in the Kop Tunnel, which is under construction within the scope of Trabzon-Aşkale Road (Kop Mountain Tunnel Crossing) and Tunnel Variant Road Work, 6,5 kilometers long and double tube. announced that the route will shorten by 6,5 kilometers with the construction of the Kop Tunnel. He added that the project will be a solution to the transportation problem in the region by providing uninterrupted transportation up to the Gürbulak border gate in transit transportation connecting the Eastern Black Sea to Eastern Anatolia, and by providing relief in the port trade.
