There was a train accident in the Czech Republic. Two freight trains collided on the Usti Nad Labem-Chomutov railway line near the town of Svetec in the northern Czech Republic. One driver died. It was stated that the accident occurred as a result of a red light violation by one of the mechanics, and the mechanic who was injured in the accident was treated at the hospital.
It was learned that one of the trains carried propane gas for the Unipetrol Doprava company, and the other was affiliated with the Czech Republic Railway Transport company and carried coal.
While a fire broke out in one of the wagons of the train carrying gas after the collision, the firefighters who came to the scene in a short time put the fire out before it grows. The Czech Railway Inspectorate launched an investigation into the accident.
