Ankara Metropolitan Municipality decorated the streets and boulevards of the capital city with billboards containing Turkish flags and congratulatory messages due to the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. Due to the continuing pandemic process, Ankara Metro Art Gallery was hosting a special painting exhibition for children, while the anthems were played at Başkent Metro due to April 23. EGO General Directorate equipped the handles on the subway wagons with pictures and poems drawn by children. Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş also called out to children through social media accounts and advised them to watch the programs that will be broadcast on ABB TV.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality celebrated the “April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day” with limited activities due to pandemic conditions.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which decorates Ankara's boulevards and streets with billboards containing Turkish flags and April 23 celebration messages, also prepared a special painting and poetry exhibition for children at the Kızılay Metro Art Gallery. Children's songs and marches were played all day long at Ankara Metro Stations.
PHOTO CORNER IN THE METRO AND CHILDREN'S BREEZE IN THE HANDLES
Within the scope of the activities that continue for 1 week, a photo corner was created for families and children who wanted to have a souvenir photo taken due to April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day in Ankara Metro.
The General Directorate of EGO made a small surprise to the children and placed the photographs and poems from the children of the Capital on the handles of the metro wagons. Serdar Yeşilyurt, Head of the Transportation Planning and Rail System Department, stated that they gave free children's books to children traveling at the Metro Book Station on April 23rd, and said, “We exhibit the photos and poems sent by e-mail from the children on the subways. The announcement, exhibition and photo taking corner we made in Kızılay are among our important events. At the same time, we distribute children's books from our library at the Kızılay Book Station for our children ”.

Yavaş, who advised the children who could not leave their homes due to the pandemic process and curfew, saying “We are bringing the enthusiasm of April 23 to your homes”, also listed various program proposals to be broadcast on April 22-25 on ABB TV:
