Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that within the scope of the works carried out for the city to breathe comfortably in transportation, the road widening works are continuing uninterruptedly. Büyükkılıç stated that, in this context, work is underway to add 3 more lane to the 1-lane road from Talas direction to Kartal Junction.
While the Metropolitan Municipality is continuing its efforts to expand and landscaping the main arteries and avenues where traffic is the most intense, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Under the instructions of Memduh Büyükkılıç, it continues to be innovative for Kayseri “organized and developed”.
In this context, the teams of the Department of Science Affairs continued their road expansion and landscaping works on the road from Talas to Erciyes University and the city center in order to raise the standards of the roads, to provide comfort in vehicle traffic and to eliminate congestion.
The teams, which also carry out the infrastructure works as well as the road arrangement works, will also make the hot asphalt pavement work and the necessary horizontal and vertical markings of the road with the completion of the infrastructure works.
Mayor Büyükkılıç, who examined the works on site, made a statement regarding the subject, “The continuity of the 3 + 4 road is ensured by adding one more lane to the existing 1 lanes road coming from the Talas direction and continuing to the Kartal Junction. Thus, the road of approximately 1 kilometer from Talas direction to Kartal Junction direction is turned into 4 lanes. "With the completion of these studies, a faster and safer flow of traffic will be provided at Kartal Crossroads."
Büyükkılıç said that within the scope of these studies, the pedestrian roads were pulled in front of General Adnan East Barracks, which had been abandoned before, and the integrity of the pedestrian path was ensured, and the green areas on the road route were expanded within a landscape project.
