Baltacı said, “Although there is a railway network in Karabük and Çankırı, which are 100 kilometers away from Kastamonu, they cannot benefit from this transportation model. "The connection of Kastamonu to the railway network through both Karabük and Çankırı will play a very important role in the socio-economic development of the city," he said.

CHP Party Assembly Member and Kastamonu Deputy Hasan Baltacı does not let go of the railway dream that Kastamonu has been waiting for years to come true.

Grand National Assembly of Turkey (Parliament) of Public Works, Transport and Tourism Committee member at the deputy Axeman, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu with Kastamonu rail demand in the consultation meeting realized as commission in Ankara also shared personally with the Minister Karaismailoğlu the internet problems in the villages .

Making a brief assessment after the meeting, Deputy Hasan Baltacı said, “As it is known, Kastamonu located in the Western Black Sea region cannot benefit from this transportation model although there is a railway network in Karabük and Çankırı, which are 100 kilometers away. The connection of Kastamonu to the railway network via both Karabük and Çankırı will play a very important role in the socio-economic development of the city. If the city of Kastamonu is connected to the railway network, it will be both easy and cheap to transport the underground riches such as copper and marble, as well as the agricultural products of the region such as garlic, einkorn, chestnut and rice, to national and international markets. Again, the railway will make a great contribution to the development of medium and small-scale industry and tourism in the region. We also conveyed Kastamonu's request for the railway to Mehmet Cahit Turhan, the previous Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, and we conveyed this request to Mr. Karaismailoğlu. In addition, there is no internet in many of our villages and even in some neighborhoods in our districts. I conveyed this issue to Minister Karaismailoğlu. Mr. Minister said that they will evaluate. At every opportunity, we will endeavor to express Kastamonu's problems and to try to solve them. We want to have internet in every village of this country, we think that if there is a railway to Karabük and Çankırı, it would not be too difficult to bring it to Kastamonu. At this point, I want it to be known that we will support every step to be taken ”.
