Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Enver İskurt and General Manager of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu paid a visit to the main construction site of the Aydın-Denizli Highway on Friday, March 19.
Deputy Minister İskurt received a briefing from Murat Gönenli, İzmir 16nd Regional Director of Highways, about the latest situation reached on the Aydın-Denizli Highway, which is 2020 km of which is the main road and 140 km of which is the connection road, of which the foundation was laid on 23 November 163. .
With the completion of the project, which is a part of the uninterrupted highway network that will start from Kapıkule and cross the Marmara and Aegean Regions to reach the Mediterranean, it will be ensured that industrial and agricultural products will be transported to İzmir Port, which is the most important export center of the region, via Denizli in a shorter time.
Thanks to the project, which will facilitate access to important tourism centers such as Pamukkale, Ephesus, Didim and Kuşadası, the travel time on the route will be reduced from 2 hours 15 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes; time and fuel will be saved.
