In the state of California, USA, 44 wagons were intertwined after a freight train derailed. While there were no deaths or injuries in the accident, large-scale material damage occurred.

The freight train belonging to a private cargo company in the Southern California desert of the United States of America broke off the rails near San Bernardino County for an unknown reason during the voyage.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department said in a statement about the accident that the freight train went off the rails near the city of Ludlow at noon. While there were no deaths or injuries in the accident, it was recorded that 44 wagons were damaged by derailment.

Authorities also stressed that a wagon carrying ethanol and alcohol had a leak. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
