Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce, examined the ongoing works in the SGK Bridge Crossroad project on site. Mayor Yüce, who received information about the latest situation in the project, underlined that the SSI Crossroad Crossroad project, which will produce a solution to a great need in city transportation, has been completed rapidly. Expressing that an intensive work has been carried out in the region through the Department of Science, Mayor Yüce stated that they aim to complete the intersection in the fastest way and put it into service. Stating that the SGK Bridge Crossroad project is very important for the transportation of the city, President Ekrem Yüce said, “The traffic jams that are experienced from time to time in the region, which is the entrance to the city, will hopefully end with our project. Vehicles coming from Orhangazi Street will be able to go directly to the city center. In addition, the vehicles will be connected to the upper part of the bridge with the side roads and will be able to continue their journeys in the direction of Erenler and Serdivan. We have completed the turning arms and raising curtains of our side roads. The first of our bridge legs has ended, and we are about to start the other. Thank God our project is progressing rapidly. Intensive work in every part of the project
The following statement was made by the Directorate of Science Affairs regarding the works: “The elevation curtains on Adnan Menderes Street, the turning arms to the Maltepe-Serdivan direction and the crossroads that will enable the return to the direction of the Hızırtepe exit and the city center, and the retaining walls were completed and pre-asphalt fillings were also made. The first leg of the bridge, which will allow the transition to Maltepe and Serdivan direction, has been completed and the construction of the other leg is about to begin. In addition, the earth concrete walls on the approach of the bridge and the earthworks on Koru Street have also been accelerated.
